What are Employee Patrol Systems?

There are 4 main components to a guard tour system:

Guard tour handheld data collector - PES, Activeguard, NFC phone
Location checkpoint - RFID, iButton
Incident recording facility
Management software - WK2007, Servicetrac, Kronos, TourTrax

When a checkpoint is scanned with a handheld reader, the unit is time and date stamped and ready to populate the management software with the contract critical T&A data. Handheld units tend to differ in a number of ways however generally speaking the main differences tend to be around the robustness, size, battery life and mode of data transmission (GSM/ GPRS/ PC Download).
